Well I’m gearing up for my latest trekking holiday. Off to the Atlas Mountains with ExploreWorldWide again, seeing as I had a great time with them the first time around.

Its going to pretty damn hot, initially in the lowlands being the height of the summer, but as the temperature cools by 1 degree C / 100m, it should be bearable higher up.

If anyone has been here, just add your own thoughts here.

Any tips you have found which helped you on your travels which you might want people to be aware of, fire them in here. I’m sure we could all use words of wisdom from fellow walkers.

For anyone wanting any more info or advice for people interested in doing this amazing trek, feel free to leave comments / suggestions / experiences here. I’m currently updating the website, so hopefully it will be a bit more organised soon!

I’ve mostly done my walking in the Reeks in Kerry (South West of Ireland), where the highest mountains in Ireland are. The highest mountain in Ireland in CorranTuathil being 1039m / 3409 feet high, but even so, these mountains like all, need to respected. Amazing scenery though and if you haven’t gone there, I’d recommend heading walking in the Hags Glen. Its definitely a great feeling staring up at the peaks around you.

Just thought I’d use this to allow anyone to leave any feedback instead of using my email address. I got so much spam when having a direct link to an old email address, I wanted to have a bulletin board type of approach for feedback and see how it works.
